Mangano named to 2026 CCAC Baseball All-Conference First Team
Chicago, IL – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced Monday the 2026 Baseball Postseason Awards and shortstop/pitcher Nick Mangano was honored with recognition.
Mangano, a sophomore from Glenwood, Illinois, was named to the All-CCAC First Team for his play in the infield, at the plate and at the mound for the Crimson Wave during the 2026 season.
Mangano finished the season with a .321 batting average, a .378 on-base percentage and a .595 slugging percentage. He posted 42 hits, 6 home runs, 14 doubles, 2 triples, and 18 RBIs through 40 games played. Defensively, with a fielding percentage of .912, Mangano had 66 putouts with 102 assists, helping convert a team-high 21 double plays.
At the mound, Mangano pitched 22 innings and struck out 14 batters. In his first appearance at the mound for CCSJ this season on March 29, Mangano pitched all seven innings vs Trinity Christian, where he struck out five and surrendered only four hits on one run, helping the Wave earn their first conference win this season.
