Crimson Wave Sprint Football signs Wheeler’s Haralovich
Whiting, IN – Calumet College of St. Joseph Sprint Football signed Xavier Haralovich for the 2024 season.
Haralovich, a local from Valparaiso, Indiana, will major in Criminal Justice while attending CCSJ. The 6'0 outside linebacker/wide receiver graduated from Wheeler High School and chose CCSJ because "CCSJ is a great for me academically and athletically," Haralovich said. "CCSJ offers a smaller ratio in class sizes which would maximize my ability to excel in the classroom and athletically. … Coach Novak gave me the opportunity to come play football and with a phenomenal coaching staff, community and location, it was a clear decision."
In high school, Haralovich was named the 2022-23 Most Improved Player and was recognized in 2023-24 as a first-team all-conference player. He was also named to the 2023-24 second-team all-area defense team by Region Sports Network, as well as being named to the 2023-24 honorable mention team by Tribune Sports.
At Calumet College, he is looking forward to "learning more about forensic criminal justice," Haralovich said. "My father helped me pick out my major and with my father being a retired police officer from Lake County, this is something I look forward to learning more about. As well as the great community surrounding, the lake front and beaches being so close and the opportunity to play football is more of what I look forward to."
