Jeau Vinatieri receives MSFL honors for second consecutive week
Vinatieri was recognized by the Midwest Sprint Football League as the Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 2.
Whiting, IN – Calumet College of St. Joseph kicker Jeau Vinatieri was announced as the Midwest Sprint Football League's Special Teams Player of the Week on Tuesday, September 23.
The sophomore, who was recognized as the Week 1 MSFL Special Teams Player of the Week, has now received the same honor in Week 2.
Against Oakland City on September 20, Vinatieri converted all seven of his extra-point attempts to finish responsible for seven points on the evening. Seven points from Vinatieri is the second-most points he's contributed in a game for CCSJ, as he tallied eight points in the 2024 MSFL Championship game with a field goal and five PATs.
Going 7-for-7 on PATs Saturday marked the seventh game of Vinatieri's career that he didn't miss an extra-point attempt.
Vinatieri and the Crimson Wave retake the field Saturday, September 27 as they travel to Louisville, Kentucky to take on Bellarmine.
