Jeau Vinatieri receives MSFL nod for third time this season
For the third time in four weeks, Vinatieri was recognized by the Midwest Sprint Football League as the Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 4.
Whiting, IN – Calumet College of St. Joseph kicker Jeau Vinatieri was announced as the Midwest Sprint Football League's Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday, October 8.
Vinatieri has been recognized as the MSFL Special Teams Player of the Week three of the first four weeks this season.
Against Oakland City on Saturday, October 4, the sophomore converted all four of his extra-point attempts while making 2-of-3 field goals, totaling 10 points on the afternoon. 10 points from Vinatieri is the most points he's contributed to a game in his collegiate career.
Both Vinatieri's field goals were from 39 yards out, making that his third longest field goal made with the Crimson Wave. Going 4-for-4 on PAT's is now the seventh game of his career that he hasn't missed an extra-point attempt.
The MSFL enters a scheduled bye week on Saturday, October 11 and will resume on Saturday, October 18. CCSJ will host St. Mary-of-the-Woods in a rematch of the 2024 MSFL Championship game at Ray P. Gallivan Field at Jeff Cain Stadium at 5:00 p.m. CT.
