Brieanna Palmer becomes first to sign with CCSJ Women's Flag Football program
Whiting, IN – The Calumet College of St. Joseph Women's Flag Football program have signed their first student-athlete, Brieanna Palmer, for the upcoming inaugural 2026-27 season.
Palmer sat down with women's head flag football coach Sam Daniels the afternoon of January 22 in the Rittenmeyer Athletic Center, signed her official offer, and made program history.
"Brieanna isn't just joining a roster, she's helping build the foundation of this program and will forever be part of our history," Daniels said.
Palmer, of Portage High School, plans to major in Criminal Justice and chose CCSJ because of the great opportunities presented, along with diversity. She's not only excited about the first year program, but the education system as well.
At Portage, Palmers was a member of the girls' varsity wrestling team. At CCSJ, Daniels anticipates her playing the running back position.
