Crimson Wave falls to PNW
On Sunday the Crimson Wave traveled to Hammond, IN to play Purdue University Northwest, the first time the two teams have met since 2017. PNW defeated CCSJ 118-83 in a tough game for the Crimson Wave.
In the 1st half, PNW led the Crimson Wave for most of the half, but CCSJ played hard to keep a close score and finished the half down only 55-47. The Crimson Wave were shooting 45.2% in Total Field Goals, 42.9% from the 3-point line, and 85.7% from the free-throw lines for the half.
The 2nd half was tougher for the Crimson Wave. PNW started the half quick, giving them the momentum to increase their lead over CCSJ, but the Crimson Wave continued to fight and stay within 15 points of PNW. In the final 10 minutes of the game, PNW pulled further ahead of CCSJ to secure their win of 118-83. The Crimson Wave shot 38.5% in Total Field Goals, 16.7% from the 3-point line, and 44.4% from the free-throw line in the 2nd half.
Noel Mpie led the Crimson Wave with 26 points and 9 rebounds, Malik Miller had 15 points and 3 rebounds, and Travis McBride had 13 points and 3 steals.
CCSJ has a brief break for the week, but returns to action on Saturday, December 4th to host Judson University at 3 pm.
