Monday, the Calumet College Men's Basketball team traveled to #19 Olivet Nazarene for their second meeting of the season. The Crimson Wave were up against a tough challenge with the Tigers and the offense couldn't quite get going in the 1st half as the Wave only scored 20 points to ONU's 57 points. In the 2nd half, the Crimson Wave made a good effort to come back, scoring 41 points, but that didn't stop the Tigers from scoring 60 points and growing their winning lead to 117-61.
Wyatt Hughes led the Crimson Wave scoring 19 points with 3 rebounds. Following was Travis McBride with 10 points, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 rebound, and Noel Mpie with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 1 steal. The team was shooting 32.4% in Total Field-Goals, 19% from the 3-Point line, and 61.1% front the Free-Throw line.
The Crimson Wave are back in action on Wednesday as they host IU-South Bend and again on Saturday as they host IU-Northwest for the Senior Day.
