Colby Wiggins named CCAC Offensive Player of the Week
Wiggins recorded a stat line of 25 points, four assists, three rebounds, two steals and one block against Judson University on Wednesday, November 20 to earn Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Chicago, IL – Congratulations to senior Colby Wiggins from Flint, Michigan on being named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
In the one game that the Crimson Wave played last week that earned Wiggins this honor, he put up 25 points on 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) shooting from the field, along with 5-of-7 (71.4 percent) shooting from behind the arc. That marks the fourth time this season that Wiggins has hit at least four 3-pointers in a contest. He also provided four assists, three rebounds, two steals and one block as CCSJ fell in a close game to Judson University, 88-86, on Wednesday, November 20.
For the season thus far, Wiggins is averaging 16.2 points per game on 49.3 percent shooting from the field and 46.2 percent from 3-point range.
The Crimson Wave are now 4-2 on the season and will play again on Wednesday, December 4 as they travel to Wyoming, Michigan to take on Grace Christian University. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
