CCSJ Men's Bowling finishes fourth at Hammer Golden Eagle Invite
Qualifying fourth amongst 28 teams, the Crimson Wave Men's Bowling team placed fourth at the Hammer Golden Eagle Invite in Rockford, Illinois.
Rockford, IL – The Calumet College of St. Joseph Men's Bowling team opened its 2025-26 season with its usual tournament of the Hammer Golden Eagle Invite. The Crimson Wave placed in the top-five this season after qualifying fourth throughout a series of baker games.
The two-day tournament consisted of various baker games, leading into a bracket style competition that would determine a tournament champion.
Amongst 28 teams, the Crimson Wave men's bowling team qualified for 4th place with a score of 8437, trailing St. Ambrose University, Wisconsin Whitewater and Rock Valley College that made up the top-three.
CCSJ beat Saint Xavier in the opening round of the tournament, winning its first two games in a best of three series. In the second round, the Crimson Wave fell to St. Ambrose 2-0, narrowly losing in that second game by just two points. That second round loss secured CCSJ's 4th place finish.
Bryant Griffith and Alex Linnenbrink both finished in the top-25 individually.

The Crimson Wave will compete again on October 4-5 when they travel to Sterling Heights, Michigan for the Brunswick Midwest Collegiate.
