Wave Runners Take on Race No. 3

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - CCSJ cross country went out for an evening stroll on Friday, as the bunch traveled to compete in the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational for both the Crimson Wave men and women.
Miguel Flores led the way for CCSJ in the men's contest, as he took home 46th overall (out of 292 runners) with a time of 28:26 in the 4K run. Just over a minute later, Deonta Pittman crossed the finish line at 29:35.
Robert Davis, James Mills and Matt Rosado then followed suit to wrap up the race and the evening for the Crimson Wave.
Collectively, the men's team clocked a combined time of 165:18.
The calendar will turn to October before the cross country squads get out and stretch their legs again. At that point in time, the SAU Fighting Bee Invitational will take place on Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. in Bettendorf, Iowa.
