Cross Country Claims Three Scholar Athletes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the names of both the men and women cross country student-athletes that have been named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Calumet College of St. Joseph continued their excellence of student-athletes being included in the group, as the three Crimson Wave runners received the honor.
Luis Munoz was the lone representative from the men's cross country team. On the women's side, Kellyn Vale (JR/Crown Point, Ind.) and Hannah Carr (SR/White Pigeon, Mich.) earned the honor.
In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
