"This was the first time for us competing at this meet. The weather was great and the course was flat, but footing was a little rough in some parts. The team is not quite where I'd like them to be, but there were some bright spots in the race. Ahmed (Hamed) ran another PR and Nelson (Rodriguez) competed in his first collegiate race. Emanual (Rogers) is still learning the 8k but showed signs of improvement through the first 5k. Rakeem (Bluitt) showed his experience finishing 3rd for us. Physically I think we're in a good spot with still having some time before the conference meet." – Coach Jonathan Jimenez
