Isaac Systma Breaks XC 8K Record
On Saturday October 23rd the Crimson Wave Cross Country teams traveled to the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge where Freshman, Isaac Systma, got a 2nd place finish and broke an 11 year 8K CCSJ program record with a time of 25:57.60. The previous record was set in 2010 by Phil Strader with a time of 26:26. Systma ran an improved time each meet before setting the CCSJ record and has been one of the top finishers for the Crimson Wave Men's Cross Country team this season next to Senior Hector Martinez.
The Crimson Wave Cross Country teams compete next on Saturday, November 6th at the CCAC Cross Country Championship in Bourbonnais, Ill.
