CCSJ Cross Country signs Bishop Noll's Martinez

Whiting, IN – The Calumet College of St. Joseph Cross Country program have signed David Martinez to the incoming class for the 2026-27 season. He is the first male athlete to commit and sign with the program for the upcoming season.

Martinez, a 5'4 distance runner from East Chicago, Indiana, plans on majoring in Neuroscience and chose CCSJ because, "I want to pursue my athletic and academic career in a college that is close to home, and I believe I'll experience more adaptability within a small community."

At Bishop Noll, Martinez is an academic all-state student who has made the first and second team all-conference team before.

Next year with the Crimson Wave, he said he is looking forward to having independence and thriving in a new environment.
