Hobart’s Tejeda signs with Crimson Wave Sprint Football
Whiting, IN. - The Calumet College Sprint Football team adds another local from the Region to the Fall 2022 roster with Hobart High School's Josh Tejeda.
Tejeda, a 6'0 Cornerback, received Academic All-Conference and Academic All-State honors while in the Top 45 in Hobart's Senior class. While also at Hobart, Tejeda received the Chad Gross Hustle Award and played on the Basketball team.
As an incoming Freshman, Tejeda said "I chose Calumet because it is near to home and when I first visited, I felt like part of a family." Tejeda plans to study Kinesiology and looks forward to winning football games with the team.

The Crimson Wave Sprint Football team will be competing in their inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 in the Midwest Sprint Football League (MSFL). Sprint football has the same rules as standard American football except players must maintain a weight limit of 178 pounds. The Midwest Sprint Football League will be playing its inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 with 6 member schools competing, with Calumet College being one of the founding members.
