Women's Cross repeats as Team Academic Award winner

WHITING, Ind. – The Calumet College of St. Joseph women's cross country team finished the 2019-2020 academic year with an impressive 3.4 team GPA, earning the team academic award in the department for the second consecutive year. Head Coach, Jackie Torres, not only encourages and promotes high academic standards for her team, but also healthy physical and mental training.

The team is anchored by the 2020 CCSJ Valedictorian, Kellyn Vale (SR/Crown Point, Ind.). Vale is a three-time CCAC All-Academic selection and a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and graduated with an impressive 4.0 GPA.

Grace Dwyer (JR/Lake Station, Ind.) and Delilah Delgado (SO/East Chicago, Ind.) joined Vale as CCAC All-Academic honorees, Dwyer's second time receiving the award. Dwyer was also an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and USTFCCA All-Academic selection.
