The CCSJ Women's Volleyball team was defeated by St. Ambrose University in three sets on the road Thursday evening. In the first set, the Crimson Wave battled to stay within a few points of SAU, but lost 18-25. The second set, CCSJ kept the same momentum by taking the lead early in the match and kept SAU off till the end when St. Ambrose took the lead and beat CCSJ 21-25. In the final set, the Crimson Wave were right behind SAU until St. Ambrose rallied ahead, winning the set 14-25. The Crimson Wave leaders were Maria Elena Castorena with 9 kills, Rebecca Larios with 13 assists, and Jade Green and Amairani Tellez with 9 digs.
The Crimson Wave Women's Volleyball team returns home to host a tri-match on Saturday, Oct. 7th playing at 11 AM, 3 PM, and 6 PM.
