Crimson Wave Volleyball lose to St. Ambrose University

The Crimson Wave Women's Volleyball team hosted St. Ambrose University on Tuesday, and were defeated 3-0; 25-19, 25-18, & 25-17. 

The Crimson Wave came into the match energetic and with momentum from their 5 set match on Saturday and kept within points of St. Ambrose during the first set, but the Fighting Bees were able to pull ahead and take the win for the 1st set. In the 2nd set, the Crimson Wave started off strong, leading St. Ambrose for a few points, until the Fighting Bees pulled ahead and capitalized on some Crimson Wave errors leading to a St. Ambrose win in the 2nd set. CCSJ had another strong start in the 3rd set, but after a few errors and a St. Ambrose streak of points, the Fighting Bees took the lead and pulled too far ahead of the Crimson Wave to secure their final win over the Crimson Wave. 

The Crimson Wave leaders on the night were Maria Elena Castorena and Diana Ortuno with 7 kills each, Rebecca Larios with 15 assists, Emma Sweeney with 10 digs, and Sincere Northern with 2 blocks.

The Crimson Wave return home on Thursday, November 4th for their final home game of the season against Cardinal Stritch at 7 PM.
